2004: A new era

In February 2004, resources were strengthened when Realogy Corporation, the worldwide provider of realty services, entered into a long-term strategic alliance with Sotheby's Holdings Inc.

This agreement provided for the authorization to license Sotheby's International Realty and acquiring offices. The agreement has mainly enabled the implementation of a luxury franchise system: standardization of marketing and IT services, standardization of the customer approach, and pooling of customer databases and assets.

At the end of 2004, for France and Monaco, the main franchise was acquired by Sotheby's International Realty's former President and CEO Europe, Alexander V. G. Kraft.
