How to buy with Sotheby’s®

In order to valuate your furniture or work of art, a team of Sotheby’s® specialists is at your disposal and looks forward to meeting you at your convenience.

The Sotheby’s® sales process

Sotheby’s® organize over 350 sales every year, mainly in New York, London and Paris, but also in Hong-Kong, Geneva, Zurich, and Singapore.
A month before the date of sale, catalogues are sent to our clients and showcased in the Sotheby’s® Lobby. These include detailed descriptions of each lot, with their history, origin, reference and estimate. These catalogues may be downloaded.

A public showing of the lots takes place 3 to 7 days before the auction. You may bid in person or complete the form on the back cover of the Sotheby’s catalogue. These forms are also available at www.sothebys.com

Dear clients,

The unprecedented situation in which we live has profoundly changed our behavior and our mentalities.
The protection of our customers and employees has become the top priority for a reopening the May 11th.

According to our Health Charter, and for the sake of barrier gestures, we make available to our customers, during visits or estimates, masks, gloves, overshoes and hydroalcoholic gel. We have developed virtual tours and video tours, allowing total immersion in complete safety. The reception of our customers in daily disinfected offices will always follow the Sotheby’s quality charter, in the presence of only one collaborator per office, supported by a close-knit team that can be contacted continuously.
