A visit to the Shangri-La Hôtel, Paris just a stone’s throw from Trocadéro is a journey through time. Originally home to Prince Roland Bonaparte, grandson of Lucien and elder brother of Napoleon, the Hotel Particulier which was built by Ernest Janty and inaugurated at the end of 1899 has preserved much of its original charm. The former Royal residence’s spectacular entrance gallery is quite simply stunning. The hotel commands fascinating views of the Eiffel Tower and the Seine, and the bedrooms are decorated with elegance and finesse.
