
Facing Palais de l’Elysée, Sotheby’s France rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré welcomed an exceptional exhibition: Pierre Bergé - From One Home to Another.
During four days, Sotheby’s presented a collection and attracted around 5.000 visitors! The exhibition presented an extraordinary contents of art, orientalist paintings, Bernard Buffet’s canvas and also artworks from Claude and François-Xavier Lalanne. Artworks, books, sculptures…
All the collection selected furniture from four decors: the Private Mansion rue Bonaparte, the Théo house in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, Mabrouka villa in Tanger and the Datcha, build on the Castle Gabriel’s park, romantic villa from XIXth century in Normandy.
After four exhibition’s days, the auction started. The sale was a success and a record for Sotheby’s Paris. All the lot have been sale for the last sale Pierre Bergé - Yves Saint Laurent.
The room was full, the first day was a record with long auctions sales…
The exhibition and the sale’s success is an homage to Pierre Bergé and his artistic taste.
