MGM Resorts x Sotheby’s: A Celebration of Art, Luxury and Culture

The back-to-school event not to be missed ... Sotheby’s in Las Vegas: Picasso Masterworks From MGM Resorts.

In order to promote the 140th anniversary of the artist Pablo Picasso, Sotheby's is teaming up with MGM Resorts to exclusively present a selection of artworks by the famous artist.

Pablo Picasso, one of the major artists of the twentieth century who marked the history of art by becoming one of the founding fathers of cubism. Sotheby's and MGM Resorts will also make history by organizing the largest art auction in Las Vegas.

The exhibition will retrace the artist's career by presenting essential works such as Femme au béret rouge-orange, a cubist portrait of the French model Marie-Thérèse Walter, who was one of the artist's companions and muses, but also and above all, the mother of their daughter Maya; and also Femme assise près d’une fenêtre, Homme et enfant, Nature morte aux fleurs et au compotier…

Alongside the public exhibition of Picasso masterworks at the Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art will be a four-day exhibition of luxury objects spanning automobiles, jewelry and watches, handbags, sneakers, and more, specially curated by Sotheby’s and on view at Aria Resort.
