The mythical portraits of Terry O'Neill
This month, Sotheby's is pleased to present the iconic portraits of Terry O'Neill for sale. This great man of photography passed away in November 2019, leaving behind him his magnificent works, drawing famous people over six decades.

In his early days, in the 1960s, he captured future great musical groups such as the Beatles, whose images would appear in a sold-out newspaper, or the Rolling Stones. Ten years later, he captures iconic characters such as David Bowie, Elton John as the portrait "Elton John at his home". Then, in the 2000s, he captures the mysterious Amy Winehouse.

In the film industry, Terry O'Neill captures images of films in which Michael Cain, Frank Sinatra or his girlfriend in "Faye Dunaway at the Beverly Hills Hotel" with his Oscar. He also manages to highlight the features of five James Bonds and their friends.

Finally, in the world of fashion, he photographs mythical women such as Audrey Hepburn, Brigitte Bardot or Naomi Campbell.
