The "Arts of Asia" exhibition by Sotheby's in Paris will be held from June 8 to June 13, 2024, with varying hours, and will feature a rich collection of paintings, ceramics, sculptures, and jade from across Asia.
Among the highlights are exceptionally high-quality Buddhist and Hindu sculptures, notably from the personal collection of Indian and Himalayan art of the late Robert Willocx. The sale will also include Chinese paintings and calligraphies, classical Huanghuali furniture, Song dynasty ceramics, and Qing dynasty porcelains. A standout of this sale will be Nguyen Phan Chanh's masterpiece "Les Chanteuses de Campagne," highlighted in a section dedicated to Vietnamese painting, featuring remarkable works by Lê Phổ, Vũ Cao Đàm, and Mai Trung Thứ.
